![]() Since we knew this was dangerous, we first thought we would be heading back home to our local dealership to have it fixed and would have to forfeit our vacation (NOT HAPPY AT ALL). When we put it in neutral, the boat was going in reverse. Last weekend we headed up to Lake Winnipesaukee from out-of-state with our 2019 Stingray, only to find out that our shift was not working properly. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this event and congratulations on having such a great Team. After this experience I understand why Irwin has been around for 100 plus years! It has been my experience that folks who lack integrity never prosper in the marine industry. I hope that someone can pass along our sincere thanks for all their efforts. We did not have the pleasure of meeting the repair folks who actually performed the repairs however based on the results, we would have to guess that they are a very talented group as well. We are back on the water as of last evening and very happy to be able to have some time left enjoying the lake during this difficult period for everyone. As an organization I feel Irwin is truly fortunate to have have such a talented, honest and diligent person managing your main service facility.įolks like Jason, Stephanie and Dan can only further inhance Irwin’s reputation and we feel extremely lucky to have had these folks available to turn our disaster around in short order. The expeditous repair work, transparent continuous communication and calming nature of Jason’s demeanor were truly remarkable. Based on that experience I can state unequivocally that Jason has made this event as painless and efficient as I have ever experienced. I have been boatng for over 45 years and have had lots of experience with various marinas and service staff. Within hours our boat was being attended to. We went to see Jason personally and explain our situation. My wife paid a frantic visit to the office at Mountain view and spoke with Stephanie Mobbs who helped us make quick contact with Jason Marceau. I asked Dan Littlefield who “the very best marine mechanics” in the area were and he immediately told me that this was a job for the Laconia service team. After hauling the boat on a Sunday morning at MVYC we quickly discovered that the extent of the damage was beyond the capabilities of the team at our marina. Unfortunately, we have become a little too familiar with some of the rocky areas of the lake and suffered significant damage to the running gear on our vessel.ĭamage was extensive and we were in fear that we would lose the rest of this already shortened boating season. We have relocated our 340 Sundancer to the MVYC facility and have been getting to know the lake this year. My wife and I have recently become lake boaters after a lifetime of ocean boating in the Boston area. I am writing today to extend my sincere thanks to your Laconia service team for some recent repairs required on our SeaRay 340. Stay warm and we hope you have the happiest of the upcoming holiday season. The team members are rock stars.Īgain thanks……….the season is over….but we are already thinking of 2021…….the craziness over, lake levels higher and a spectacular season. We both want to thank you and the entire service team for being so helpful, supportive and as always with their “can do” attitude……………it is much appreciated and welcomed…………īill Irwin is so fortunate to have a leader such as yourself with a service team that focuses on a customer centric service process that is truly the best. Although we normally keep the boat until mid-October, the lake levels being so low and with all the craziness, why tempt fate. ![]() It will be our “walking to school in the snow uphill both ways”. But the turning point in their relationship was either cut or never written.īridesmaids is often hilarious and likely to be a hit with both women and men. Chris O'Dowd, best known for the Brit sitcom The IT Crowd, shows up as an oddly Irish cop - this is Milwaukee - who falls for Annie, and his awkward rhythms are very appealing. Jon Hamm does a broad comic turn as Wiig's conceited sex buddy that would have worked better if the writing weren't so coarse. A subplot involving Wendie McLendon-Covey as a cynical mom and Ellie Kemper as a ninny newlywed gets short shrift, and the wonderful Melissa McCarthy gets mostly jokes exploiting her girth. While Wiig does her slapstick thing, a lot of the movie's potentially more penetrating material is undeveloped - or maybe cut, since Apatow-produced movies tend to come in overlong. Wiig's timing is brilliant, and Byrne, who is not as experienced a comedian, turns out to be every bit as pitch-perfect. It's a compulsive competition that of course can't be acknowledged because that's not how ladies behave in public. The deeply threatened Annie jumps up and takes the mike back, and soon there are dueling mikes. The movie peaks early - too early - at Lillian's engagement party, when Annie gives a modest little toast, and then Helen takes the mike and gives a toast that's disarmingly polished. But there's a rival from Lillian's new country-club circuit for Lillian's friendship: the aristocratic beauty Helen, played by Rose Byrne. Lillian is newly engaged to a rich guy, and Annie will of course be maid of honor. Her best friend for life is Lillian, played by Wiig's old Saturday Night Live cast-mate Maya Rudolph - and their unforced rapport is one of the movie's pleasures. Wiig plays lonely, single Annie, who ran a cake shop that went bust and now works fitfully in a jewelry store. The idea of a "female mask," of women having to keep up appearances, is actually the key to Bridesmaids' best moments. And she has a good clown face for that - bland but rubbery enough to surprise you with its wide range of expression. Wiig's talent - and it's considerable - is for a kind of neurotic deadpan, a mask of blandness that regularly slips to make way for crazed insecurity and anger and passive-aggressiveness. As directed by Paul Feig, it's a killer vehicle for Wiig, who has been glamorized like mad: super-coiffed and dressed in micro-miniskirts, with the aim of making her part Lucille Ball and part Jennifer Aniston. Where, many of us have asked, is the female perspective?Īpatow is more responsive to criticism than most moguls, and has now produced his first female-centric comedy, Bridesmaids, from a script by Annie Mumolo and the star, Kristen Wiig - with reportedly heavy input from the man himself. Judd Apatow has had his own Hollywood comedy factory for years now, but the charge that comes up again and again is that it's a boy's club - or rather a child-man's club, a place for nerds to write movies about nerds who act like juveniles before growing up and marrying thin, pretty women. ![]() While installing it you are requested to enter an administrator password. Trouble is of course, when your kid goes over to some friend's house whose parents don't have this or something else, all your efforts are rendered futile. This means that the average annual student loan payment will be lowered by more than $1,000 for both current and future borrowers. The Department of Education is proposing a new income-driven repayment plan that protects more low-income borrowers from making any payments and caps monthly payments for undergraduate loans at 5% of a borrower’s discretionary income-half of the rate that borrowers must pay now under most existing plans. Cutting monthly payments in half for undergraduate loans.Make the student loan system more manageable for current and future borrowers by:.Borrowers should expect to resume payment in January 2023. To ensure a smooth transition to repayment and prevent unnecessary defaults, the pause on federal student loan repayment will be extended one final time through December 31, 2022. No high-income individual or high-income household – in the top 5% of incomes – will benefit from this action. Borrowers are eligible for this relief if their individual income is less than $125,000 ($250,000 for married couples). The Department of Education will provide up to $20,000 in debt cancellation to Pell Grant recipients with loans held by the Department of Education, and up to $10,000 in debt cancellation to non-Pell Grant recipients. Provide targeted debt relief to address the financial harms of the pandemic, fulfilling the President’s campaign commitment. The President is announcing that the Department of Education will: This plan offers targeted debt relief as part of a comprehensive effort to address the burden of growing college costs and make the student loan system more manageable for working families. Today, President Biden is announcing a three-part plan to provide more breathing room to America’s working families as they continue to recover from the strains associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Twenty years after first enrolling in school, the typical Black borrower who started college in the 1995-96 school year still owed 95% of their original student debt. The student debt burden also falls disproportionately on Black borrowers. About 16% of borrowers are in default – including nearly a third of senior citizens with student debt – which can result in the government garnishing a borrower’s wages or lowering a borrower’s credit score. Many of these students could not complete their degree because the cost of attendance was too high. Nearly one-third of borrowers have debt but no degree, according to an analysis by the Department of Education of a recent cohort of undergraduates. Middle-class borrowers struggle with high monthly payments and ballooning balances that make it harder for them to build wealth, like buying homes, putting away money for retirement, and starting small businesses.įor the most vulnerable borrowers, the effects of debt are even more crushing. The skyrocketing cumulative federal student loan debt-$1.6 trillion and rising for more than 45 million borrowers-is a significant burden on America’s middle class. According to a Department of Education analysis, the typical undergraduate student with loans now graduates with nearly $25,000 in debt. ![]() That has left many students from low- and middle-income families with no choice but to borrow if they want to get a degree. Federal support has not kept up: Pell Grants once covered nearly 80 percent of the cost of a four-year public college degree for students from working families, but now only cover a third. Since 1980, the total cost of both four-year public and four-year private college has nearly tripled, even after accounting for inflation. Today, the Biden Administration is following through on that promise and providing families breathing room as they prepare to start re-paying loans after the economic crisis brought on by the pandemic. During the campaign, he promised to provide student debt relief. ![]() President Biden believes that a post-high school education should be a ticket to a middle-class life, but for too many, the cost of borrowing for college is a lifelong burden that deprives them of that opportunity.
Its weight also puts it into the restrictive C2 European drone category. That said, its pro-tier video modes, as well as its price tag, make it overkill for beginners. It's a combo that we loved in our review, making the Air 2S our top choice for hobbyists and pros who really need that larger sensor. This drone has the same 20MP 1-Inch sensor as the one found in the older Mavic 2 Pro, which gives it greater light-gathering powers than the Mini 3 Pro, and a compact, folding design. We also liked the option to rotate its camera by 90 degrees for crop-free portrait recording. Together with automated flight modes, this makes it an easy drone for beginners to operate. Its three-directional obstacle avoidance worked well in testing. We also encountered very little noise even at the maximum ISO 6400, while the combination of a bright f/1.7 lens and dual native ISO tech gives the Mini 3 Pro impressive low-light performance. In our review, we found that the Mini 3 Pro’s 12.1MP 1/1.3-inch sensor produced excellent image quality. For the money, you get a far superior camera, obstacle avoidance sensors and a range of in-flight features that you’d normally only find on larger drones. It’s more expensive than previous editions of the Mini, but that extra cost yields a huge upgrade over the Mini 2. Packing the performance of bigger drones into convenient proportions, we think the DJI Mini 3 Pro is the best compact drone you can buy. Or if you’d like to give FPV flight a go, the DJI Avata is our favorite drone for first-person piloting. Also, the pairing button (S) can only be used when you connected the Qubino to a 12volt system. Make sure you read the manual, there are a lot of wiring examples in it. So I just made a simple setup with a hanging lantern cord cable to test and pair the Qubino before I placed it outside. While the range of the Smart Relay is up to 30 meters, I noticed that you need to hold it close to get paired properly. Pairing the Qubino may require to hold the relay close to your Smart Hub. So the basic setup is placing the Smart Relay without a light switch:Ĭonnect and test the Qubino inside first. This will help you sorting out all the wires and connecting the smart relay. What I recommend is that you first draw yourself a wiring diagram before you starting installing the relay. ![]() Now connecting the relay behind the switch seems a bit difficult if you look at the documentation, but it really isn’t that hard. So if you have a light switch for your Outdoor Landscape Lighting, you can just place the Smart Relay behind it and turn the lights on/off with the light switch or the relay. The Flush 1 Relay can just be used on its own, but also behind one or two lights switches. I have chosen Qubino because they are really small and have a lot of functions. There are different types of Smart Relays available on the market. The Qubino is connected with my Smart Hub through Z-Wave. To make these lights smart, I used a weatherproof junction box and placed a Qubino Flush 1 Relay in it. In my case, I had a 240v wire that connected some garden lights and the led stair lights. To make these lights smart we will have to place a relay at the beginning of the wire (if you are using a 120/240v light system) or just before the transformer if you are using a low voltage lighting. Most of these lights are daisy-chained (all connected to one long wire) or go back to a central hub. Typically these lights are placed along a path or between the plants in your garden.
